Food Donations
Donations to the food bank (both food and cash) can be made any week day morning from 8:15 a.m. until noon. Enter the door at the bottom of the parking lot. Click here for a map and directions.
Needed items include food for our regular service (such as canned meats, soups, vegetables, fruit, and baby food) as well as food for our school backpack program (such as EasyMac, individual apple sauce or fruit cups, oatmeal packets and small, 100% juices). Paper grocery bags are also a constant need and something which we regularly have to purchase; we appreciate any donation of clean, untorn paper bags. Non-food items in demand include toilet paper, diapers, soap, laundry detergent and cat food.
Your contributions add up--1,379,478 pounds of food were distributed by the food bank through your generosity in 2009!
Financial Donations
Your dollars can go even further...We purchase food at wholesale prices from non-profit distributors and participate in bulk buys with other food banks in South King County. Sometimes we can get meat for just the cost of processing (eg. salmon for 25 cent/pound).
Financial contributions can be sent to:
